Intro & New Features
The CCM Jetspeed Shock INT Hockey Skates have been exclusively designed for Source For Sports retailers. This skate has been manufactured with exclusive upgrades from higher end models in the Jetspeed line. This skate is ideal for the competitive player looking for performance enhancing features, new technology, and instant comfort all at a low price.
Skate Fit Profile
CCM has followed suit within the industry and made their skates more accessible to different foot shapes and profiles. CCM has moved away from the standard D, EE widths, and restructured their skates profiles into tapered, regular, and wide options. The new system fits are a result of the most common shapes amongst the 3D Scan system introduced a couple of years ago. The Tapered fit will be most similar to the previous Jetspeed fit, whereas the Regular will be most like the Tacks line, and the Wide most like the previous Ribcore skates. That being said, at this price point level, the Jetspeed Shock will only be offered in the Regular and Wide fit options.
Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile
The quarter package in the Jetspeed Vibe consists of a one-piece boot. Previously CCM only offered the one-piece boot in higher end models, but not anymore. By allowing the material to be one cohesive boot, players get more direct energy transfer from foot to skate, and a closer fit to their feet for faster strides.
The Jetspeed boot will continue to embrace the middle stiffness level amongst CCM skates. This promotes a hybrid between speed and agility to maximize overall quickness on the ice. On their stiffness level index, the Shock resides at 140 which is slightly less than the vibe at 150 respectively.
The tendon guard continues to offer flexibility to increase the overall range of motion of the boot. The tendon guard flexes slightly forward and back to not limit your stride strength.
Liner & Internal Padding
The liner in the Source for Sports exclusive Jetspeed Shock is the HD Microfiber liner. This performance liner is moisture-wicking which keeps your feet dry and your skates light. The liner is also high resistance to wear, which increases the lifetime of the boot while still delivering major comfort.
The internal padding features memory foam to provide a comfortable wrap around the fit and to optimize the comfort of the skate.
Tongue
The tongue on the Jetspeed Shock comes with a 7mm replaceable asymmetrical felt tongue. It also offers a reinforced dual-layer down the middle of the tongue for added comfort and protection.
Insoles
The CCM Ortholite footbed in the Jetspeed Shock is a lightweight insole to provide maximum comfort and support for your arches.
Lacing System
The Jetspeed line continues with the tried and true standard eyelet lacing system. The top eyelets are also reinforced for increased durability.
Graphics
The graphic on the Jetspeed Shock Skate is quite similar to the Vibe. It adds the CCM logo on the side of the boot and the FT4 Pro liner graphic as well. The flash but clean back red and white pattern will have the skate sure to be noticed.
Steel Runner, Holder & Blade Profile
The stock steel will be the XS stainless steel. This blade provides a long-lasting edge for long-term performance.
The CCM Speedblade XS is mounted on the Jetspeed Shock skates, offering the sturdy quick release system that has become a staple amongst the top end players around the world.
